Cindy McGowan, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Manhattan College, has extensive experience in both academic advising and school counseling. She initially worked as an academic advisor at Manhattan College for six years, aiding students and parents in transitioning to higher education. Currently, she serves as a school counselor in Catholic elementary schools in the northwest Chicago suburbs, where she teaches social-emotional skills and collaborates on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans. McGowan specializes in assisting children, adolescents, and young adults with challenges such as ADHD, ASD, anxiety, grief, and low self-esteem.
